Best Student Poster Award
Introduction
Dr. Carl Calvert created in 2007 an award to stimulate the research on topics covered by the IAG Reference Frame Sub-commission for Europe - EUREF and give the opportunity to students to present their work.
EUREF offers each year a "Best Student Poster Award" at the annual EUREF Symposium.
The award consists on a certificate and a monetary prize of 100 €.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an award, applicants must:
- Be the first author on a poster submission
- Be a full-time PhD student (or equivalent) at the time of submission
- Present their poster research at the EUREF Symposium
Application
The candidates must send their applications together with the abstract submission.
Award Criteria
The winner is selected by the Jury according to the following major criteria:
- Scientific quality
- Quality, structure and organization of the poster presentation
Jury
The Jury is formed by members of the EUREF Technical Working Group (TWG).
The Jury evaluates the posters displayed during the EUREF Symposium and communicates the author to be awarded to the EUREF Chair.
Announcement
The winner is announced during the closing session of the EUREF Symposium.
